Franklin materials cataloged under his name include an undated holograph document fragment, signed, requesting a commission concerning bankruptcy proceedings; a printed and holograph promissory note (1779 October 4), in French and signed by Franklin as a representative of the United States; a holograph promissory note (1779 December 21), in French and signed by Franklin as a representative of the United States; and a typescript (1906) by John E. Scopes of his lecture BENJAMIN FRANKLIN. The John Adams collection contains an autograph letter (1781 August 23), signed, from Adams to Benjamin Franklin. A bronze bust of Benjamin Franklin by Jean Antoine Houdon is housed in the HRHRC Art Collection and is available for viewing by appointment only. A 6 3/8 X 4 3/4 photograph of a bas-relief of Benjamin Franklin is housed in the HRHRC Photography Collection's Ernest Hartley Coleridge Collection.
